USCHPA to host summit and seminar on sports nutrition in China
The all-day event will be held at the Regal International East Asia Hotel, where 11 industry experts will present on China’s consumer trends, regulations, cross-border e-commerce, fast-expanding fitness industry, newest ingredients and products, and overall market environment.
USCHPA executive director Jeff Crowther said, “China’s enthusiasm in sports and fitness has grown exponentially and as a result, interest in sports nutrition has also grown at approximately 20% per year. Although sports nutrition has been around in China for a couple of decades, it was mostly contained within the bodybuilding community.
“However, that is changing quickly as a result of increased access to foreign supplements through cross-border e-commerce and the fact that there are just more people interest in health and fitness.”
In addition to the summit, the USCHPA will partner with ReedSinopharm to host a free educational seminar to better inform attendees (including end users such as athletes, trainers, fitness enthusiasts, and distributors) of the products and ingredients often used by China’s athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
The seminar will take place at the FIBO China Expo Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing on 7 September, and companies such as GNC, TSI Group and Aker BioMarine are among the presenters.
